Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking an NDT Technician I – Radiography in Huntington Beach, CA. The role supports nondestructive testing to verify product quality and identify defects, calibrates NDT equipment, and documents inspection results for continuous improvement initiatives.

The candidate will work with internal teams and clients, participate in safety initiatives, and ensure compliance with radiation-safety requirements. First shift; full-time at an aerospace/defense facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Some college education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment.
• Conduct inspections to verify product quality and identify defects using established NDT methods and procedures.
• Perform radiographic inspections in accordance with requirements.
• Organize, document, and report inspection results accurately.
• Perform specialized NDT inspections as required.
• Support on-the-job training related to NDT methods.
• Participate in client programs, planning sessions, and strategy discussions.
• Support client safety initiatives and incident investigations.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and radiation-safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
