Job summary

Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding Llc in Pascagoula, MS seeks a Quality Assurance NDT Inspector A to perform in-process and final NDT inspections on shipbuilding products to ensure compliance with ABS, USCG and owner specifications.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts with VT, MT, PT, UT and RT methods, completing inspection records, and coordinating call-out inspections with ABS and USCG. A strong safety mindset and ability to read blueprints are required.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and follow written procedures and safety requirements.
• Familiar with ABS and USCG as well as ASME/AWS codes.
• Proven knowledge of non-destructive testing standards and quality expectations.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final NDT inspections using VT, MT, PT, UT and RT.
• Inspect parts, products and processes to ensure conformance with standards and codes.
• Complete inspection records, reports, weld maps and other forms of documentation.
• Set up call-out inspections with ABS and USCG based on codes and regulations.
• Interact with ABS, government and owner's representatives on inspections and outcomes.
• Ensure quality procedures are followed during every production phase.
• Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and corrective actions.
• Educate production team on quality control issues and improve safety and quality.
