Job summary

Acuren is seeking an NDT MT/PT/UT Level II Technician to join our team. The role involves setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, performing inspections for quality and defect detection, and interpreting results under applicable standards.

Candidates should have a technical background in NDT methods and experience in report writing. Responsibilities include supervising others when needed, arranging test results, and adhering to safety regulations while performing specialized

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II credential.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Experience in report writing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level II
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
