Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in the United States is looking for an experienced NDT Manager to lead the NDT technician team and serve as Responsible Level III and Certifying Authority across SPARC manufacturing and ARC projects.

You will oversee inspections (UT/PAUT, RT, ET, PT, MT, VT) and partner with EHS and project teams to ensure safe, compliant operations while building scalable NDT capabilities for future fusion systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
Level III certification in UT/PAUT and RT.
12+ years NDT experience on critical components.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain organizational NDT capabilities to scale across projects.
Partner with EHS Radiation Safety for safe radiography operations.
Act as Responsible Level III and Certifying Authority.
Oversee NDT execution across manufacturing, construction, assembly, and vendors.
Audit technicians to ensure compliance with instructions and standards.
Collaborate with NDT training to establish procedures and standards.
Establish training frameworks for NDT technicians and provide support.
Review work instructions to ensure latest procedures are used.
Use NDT results to drive RCCA and continual process improvements.
