Voyager Technologies is seeking an NDT Level 2 X-Ray Technician based in Colorado. The role involves performing radiographic inspections of critical aerospace and defense components, with duties reporting to the Quality Manager in the Quality Department, initially onsite in Penrose, CO and later transferring to Pueblo, CO.

Responsibilities include image evaluation, documentation, equipment calibration, radiation safety, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have NAS410 Level 2 radiography certification and hands-on radiography hours.
• Formal radiography education totaling 80 hours is required.
• Minimum 1,000 hours of hands-on radiography experience.
• HS diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct radiographic inspections using X-ray technology.
• Evaluate images and interpret test results per specs and blueprints.
• Document findings and maintain records for QA.

The NDT Level 2 X-Ray Technician for Voyager Energetics is responsible for performing radiographic inspections of components critical to aerospace and defense applications.

The position reports to the Quality Manager and is part of the Quality Department based in Pueblo, CO. This role will start onsite based in Penrose, CO and will transfer to Pueblo, CO.

In this role, the essential functions are:

• Conduct radiographic inspections using X-ray technology to assess solid propellant grains for defects and imperfections.
• Evaluate images and interpret test results in accordance with engineering specifications, blueprints, and process instructions.
• Document findings accurately and maintain historical records for quality assurance.
• Perform daily equipment setup, calibration, and quality checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct radiation safety surveys and complete required annual radiation safety training.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Level 2 certification in radiography per National Aerospace Standard NAS410 Rev 6
  • Previous Experience: A candidate’s experience with a previous employer may be accepted by Estes Energetics provided it is documented and available for review
• Minimum of 80 hours of formal classroom education in radiography.
• At least 1000 hours of hands‑on radiography experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 40 hours of digital radiography classroom training and 200 hours of digital radiographic testing experience.
• Experience performing digital radiographic inspections of solid propellants or rubber components.

The good faith base hourly range for this role is $36 - $42 per hour at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
