Job summary

Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. is seeking an NDT Level II Leak Testing technician with primary expertise in Helium Mass Spectrometer Testing (MSLT).

The role focuses on performing, interpreting, and documenting leak testing per applicable codes and company practices, with experience in additional testing methods preferred. Requires a high school diploma and approximately ten years of related experience; US citizenship for government security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Approximately ten years of applicable professional experience or a combination of graduate study and experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate helium mass spectrometer leak detection equipment including vacuum systems, pumps, and detectors.
• Perform leak testing using vacuum, hood, and sniffer techniques.
• Verify instrument sensitivity using certified leak standards prior to and during examinations.
• Detect, localize, and quantify leak rates per acceptance criteria.
• Prepare accurate and complete examination reports including calibration data and test parameters.
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to Level I personnel.
