Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking an experienced NDT professional for the Non-Destructive Testing Lab. The role supports Radiography, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, and other NDT services per specifications and regulatory standards.

Qualified candidates should hold a Level II certification in at least two methods and pursue ASNT IRRSP or equivalent radiation safety certification. A high school diploma or equivalent with relevant NDT experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient as a Level II in at least two major methods (MT, PT, RT, UT).
• Candidate will be required to attain ASNT IRRSP or equivalent radiation safety certification.
• High school graduate with related NDT experience or completed two years of Engineering/Science study, or Level II certification by exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide NDT services per specifications, drawings, standard procedures, and regulatory agencies.
• Perform required calibrations, set-ups, and equipment checks for NDT methods.
• Review subcontractor radiographs and NDT procedures and provide final approval as needed.
