Job summary

PROtect is seeking a CR/DR Assistant to help safeguard critical infrastructure by assisting certified NDT Technicians in inspecting pipelines, vessels, and structural steel using radiography, ultrasound, and dye tests. The role emphasizes safety and accuracy in live industrial environments.

The position offers hands-on training, opportunities for advancement to Level II/III NDT roles, and involvement in a growing sector focused on public and environmental safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability through PROtect, LLC.
• Ability to work a demanding and flexible schedule, including travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist setup and operation of NDT equipment per codes and procedures.
• Support inspections (gamma, x-ray, ultrasonic, penetrant, visual).
• Help identify defects using testing methods.
• Drive company vehicles with a clean record.
• Learn tasks from Lead Technicians and follow safety instructions.
• Document results and assist with post-inspection cleanup.
