Job summary

Acuren is actively recruiting NDT Assistants to support operations in Portland, Oregon. Local candidates are preferred due to the nature of the role. The NDT Assistant will help perform calibrations and nondestructive tests, recording results for acceptance or rejection according to written instructions.

Candidates with completed NDT training hours per industry standards are preferred. The role requires a high school diploma, possible college coursework, and a background check to ensure

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.
• Must be able to undergo background check and meet Trustworthy & Reliable standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
• Record results of inspections.
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations.
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.
