Job summary

Rishabh RPO is seeking an NDI Technician in Kinston, NC to perform non-destructive inspection using UT and other methods. The candidate will set up NDI equipment, interpret results, and document findings to ensure compliance with customer engineering requirements.

Level II/III responsibilities are included where applicable, with training and supervision of trainees as needed. The role requires an AA degree in a related discipline with at least 3 years of experience, plus Ultrasonic Testing Level

Qualifications

• AA degree in related discipline with 3 years of experience required.
• NAS 410 certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Use NDI methods (e.g., liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonics) to evaluate parts and processes.
• Set up and standardize NDI equipment; interpret results for acceptance or rejection; document findings.

Duties:

Responsible for using analysis techniques to evaluate the properties of a materials, components or systems without causing damage. Utilize Non-Destructive inspection methods (liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, thermography, shearography, eddy current, ultrasonic, radiography) to verify parts and processes are in compliance with customer engineering requirements. Level II: (Job level 3 or less) Set-up and standardize NDI equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Establish techniques from approved general procedure or work instructions for final approval. Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards. Provide necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees. Perform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process and procedures. Level III: (Job level 4) Interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control NDT methods. Assume technical responsibility for the NDT facility, equipment and staff. Prepare, verify and approve procedures and work instruction for technical adequacy. Provide training, examination, and certification of personnel. Perform audit surveillance on non-destructive inspection processes and initiate and document any non-conformances according to specification, process and procedures.

Skills:

Ultrasonic Testing Experience, UT methods like phased array, pulse-echo, shear wave, through transmission

Education: AA DEGREE IN RELATED DISCIPLINE AND 3 YEARS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Ultrasonic Testing Level 1 Certification and 40 hrs. as UT Level 1 formal training hours
• Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 Certification and 40 hrs. as UT Level 2 formal training hours
• 800+ Ultrasonic Testing OJT Hours proof.
• NAS 410 certification
