Job summary

Insight Global in New York is seeking a Non-Destructive Evaluation Technician to perform inspections on materials and components using ultrasonic testing techniques. You will identify defects and quality concerns without damaging the material, focusing on composite bonding like carbon fiber, Kevlar, boron, Inconel, titanium, and Invar.

Applicants typically have 1–3 years of NDE/NDT experience and a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of NDE/NDT experience.
• Composite material inspection experience with Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Boron, Inconel, Titanium, and Invar.
• Certifications: NAS410, SNT-TC-1A, ASNT CP-189, ISO 9712, or EN 4179.
• Ultrasonic testing equipment experience (Olympus); experience with Eddy Current and X-ray testing (RT).
• Knowledge of honeycomb structures and bonded assemblies inspections.
• Bachelor's in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.

This role is responsible for identifying defects, discontinuities, and quality concerns without damaging the material being inspected. Most of the materials they will be working on are composite bonding carbon fiber, kevlar, boron, inconel, titanium and invar.

Skills and Requirements

• Any of the following qualification/certifications:
