MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking NDE Assistants in Alaska to support NDE Level II and III technicians. This position involves a 12-hour shift on the North Slope with a 21-on/21-off or 14-on/14-off rotation schedule.

Applicants should have a 40-hour Radiation Safety Course and NDT training or on-the-job exposure for UT, RT, PT, MT, and VT (ASNT SNT-TC-1A) preferred but not required, plus a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.

Mistras Alaska is searching for NDE Assistants. The candidate shall have at minimum a 40-hour radiation safety course completed. The NDE Assistant will assist NDT level II and III’s. The work schedule will be a rotational hitch of 21 days on, followed by 21 days off or 14 days on followed by 14 days off. Daily work shifts will be 12 hours located on the North Slope of Alaska.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 40-hour Radiation Safety Course.
• NDT training and OJT for different methods (UT, RT, PT, MT, VT) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A is preferred but not required.
• Current IRRSP or state card is preferred but not required.
• Current level I or higher Rope Access certification IRATA or willingness to obtain.
• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to routinely lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (subzero temperatures) for extended periods of time.
• Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces.
