Job summary

CAC I International Inc. seeks a Technical Lead to support the Navy Certificate Validation Infrastructure (NCVI). The role combines PKI systems engineering with hands-on leadership of a delivery team across CANES and Navy environments.

You will coordinate with NIWC LANT and oversee validation workflows, audits, and security baselines. The position requires DoD Secret clearance, 8-10 years in security-focused IT, and IAT Level II certs with DoD mission focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related STEM field; equivalent combination considered.
• Minimum 8-10 years in systems administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity with 3 years of leadership tasks.
• 2 years DoD/Navy PKI operations, directory services (AD/LDAP), or CAC/smart card enabling technologies.
• DoD 8570/8140 Baseline: Active IAT Level II or higher certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NCVI VA, validation servers, and OCSP/CRL responders.
• Lead system administration (hardware, OS, virtualization) for CANES/tactical servers.
• Manage Trust Anchor and CA chains (DISA, NSS, DoD external CAs) within Navy environments.
• Coordinate PKI Audit compliance with JFHQ-DODIN and conduct vulnerability scans with ACAS.
• Maintain backups, review security logs, and secure PKI archives per DoD standards.
• Drive weekly SIPR PKI calls and produce operational reports and SOPs.
