Job summary

HCA Healthcare's CareNow urgent care clinics are seeking an X-ray Tech to join our team. You will perform radiology procedures, take vital signs, and assist with entry and documentation in the EHR. This role emphasizes patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

We value teamwork and clinical excellence. A 1+ year clinical background and state licensure requirements apply, with BLS and drug screening certifications due within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year clinical experience in patient care.
• EHR experience beneficial.
• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license required in state residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days.
• Federal Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and outside lab work.
• Keep patients informed of clinic progress.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a X-ray Tech, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
