Job summary

General Dynamics - IT (GDIT) is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support the NCIS team at Quantico, VA. The role requires 5+ years of Windows systems experience and TS/SCI eligibility.

You will manage Windows Server 2019/2022/2025, AD, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell in a hybrid environment, helping ensure security and uptime for mission-critical government systems. US citizenship is required and collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Windows systems administration experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility.
• Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 and Windows 11.
• Experience with AD DS, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Ability to work in a hybrid onsite/remote environment.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Administer, manage and maintain Windows servers 2019 and 2022.
• Responsible for Windows Server patching in an operational environment.
• Work with Domain controllers, AD FS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Create, manage, and maintain accounts and groups in Active Directory, LDAP
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Monitors system environments and resources.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, resolve, and documents problems with business applications and hardware on all enclaves.
• Oversees system recovery mechanisms.
• Coordinate, communicate, elevate required changes, and major issues.
• Help diagnose and resolve computer-related problems as requested by employees and contractors, either in person or by using remote control software.
• Respond to telephone calls and email requests for technical support.
• Accurately documents all work in ServiceNow.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel of which 700 serve at HQ and the remaining staff serve at offices worldwide. NCIS is the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement (LE), counterterrorism (CT), counterintelligence (CI), and cyber matters. NCIS not only has primary responsibility for all criminal investigative, CI, CT, and cyber matters within the DON, but it also has exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage and subversive activities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your systems administration expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. Our Windows Systems Administrator must have:

• Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret clearance (Must be TS/SCI eligible)
• 5+ years of experience with Windows Systems Administration, general computer system, network administration and user support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Windows 11, Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025 configuration, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Experience in (MDM) support and solutions
• Experience with the NGEN IT infrastructure and enterprise class networks
• Ability to administer user accounts and device associations in Active Directory
• Experience deploying DISA STIGs controls and system compliance
• Must have prior experience with installation, operation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple types of business and end user-specific application software in a large government installation
• Experience with one or more of the following: Domain controllers, Active Directory, DNS servers, DHCP and Group Policy Object
• Innovative and collaborative environment encouraging of highly motivated critical thinking
• Required Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE
• Education: BS Degree or equivalent Computer Science or IT related degree
• Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite at Quantico, VA / 2 days remote
• US Citizenship required
