Job summary

American Data Network is seeking experienced NCDR Afib Registry Abstractors to support accurate cardiovascular registry abstraction for client hospitals. This role requires hands-on Afib abstraction experience, independent review of clinical documentation, and strict adherence to registry specifications and deadlines.

Contractors and full-time employees are welcome; contractors must have high-speed internet, a PC, and at least two monitors.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent NCDR Afib registry abstraction experience.
• Ability to independently abstract Afib cases using registry specs and clinical docs.
• Strong understanding of healthcare quality reporting and chart review.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient medical records and abstracts data for the NCDR Afib Registry.
• Applies registry specs, definitions, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and guidelines.
• Interprets clinical documentation related to cardiology procedures and outcomes.
• Enters accurate data into registry platforms, EHRs, or vendor tools.
• Maintains high abstraction accuracy and attention to detail.
• Meets productivity expectations and client deadlines.
• Participates in QA activities, feedback, correction, validation, IRR reviews.
• Communicates with account leads and client contacts for clarification.
• Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA/data security compliance.
