Job summary

RHA Health Services seeks a team leader for the NC START East Program. You will supervise community-based interventions and coordinate care for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, 2+ years’ experience (1 year if Master’s degree), and START certification. A valid driver’s license and CPR/first aid are also needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Social Work, Social Services, Human Services or Special Education.
• Minimum 2 years experience with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities; 1 year if Master’s degree with.
• National START Certification must be completed.
• Excellent communicator and cooperative team player who can interview and learn about individuals, even if nonverbal.

Position Summary

We are hiring for: NC START East Team Leader Type: Regular. We are looking for a positive and personable individual to make a real difference in the lives of people with intellectual, developmental disabilities, and people facing mental health and substance use challenges. Join our team at RHA Health Services.

Job Overview

Serves as the primary contact and supervisor of the START Program (Systematic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resource, and Treatment) to provide community based intervention and prevention services to individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health care needs.

Responsibilities

• Crisis & conflict management
• Care coordination through teamwork with internal and external stakeholders

• On-call duties required

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Services, Human Services or Special Education required; Master’s degree a plus
• Minimum 2 years experience working with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities required; 1-year experience if paired with Master’s degree
• National START Certification must be completed
• Excellent communicator and cooperative team player who excels at interviewing the people we serve to learn about their interests and goals, even individuals who cannot communicate verbally.
• Must possess expertise in the services being provided.
• Must have direct support experience supporting individuals with mental health and developmental disability diagnosis.
• Must have experience with crisis management and crisis counseling.
• Valid driver’s license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
• Conditions of employment: CPR, first-aid, NCI certification and others that may be specified and/or required by future company regulations.
• Must maintain proficiency in company-sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to lift 10 lbs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs.
• Must be able to pull a minimum of 10 lbs.
• Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
• Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Required to regularly stand and walk.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting.
• Vision: close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• Must be able to talk and hear.

Salary

Salary: $65,000.00 Annually
