Job summary

Nucor Building Systems Indiana in Waterloo, IN, is seeking a Civil/Architectural Engineer to design safe, economical structures that meet project codes and standards.

You will use our proprietary software for frame, bracing, crane, mezzanine and panel analysis; collaborate with the detailing department; review drawings for accuracy; and continuously develop your skills within a safety‑driven, team‑oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire date.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
• Candidate must be authorized to work without sponsorship both now and in the future. Nucor is unable to provide sponsorship for this role at this time.

• Creative Design: Develop safe and economical structures that fulfill project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards. Each project is unique!
• Technical Analysis: Utilize our proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance.
• Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the Detailing Department and other team members to communicate design requirements effectively and ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversight: Review and check structural drawings for accuracy.
• Continuous Learning: Embrace opportunities to grow and develop as an engineer, collaborating with various teams throughout the division to find innovative solutions and explore unique career paths within our organization.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.
