Job summary

JSL Technologies, Inc. seeks a Technical Manual Support Specialist to provide TMMP/MBPS/S1000D support at Port Hueneme, CA. The role involves attending implementation meetings, editing technical manuals, and developing documentation for NAVSEA requirements.

You will review SGML/XML data, assist with ETM/IETM structures, and coordinate across NAVSEA, NAVWAR, and NAVAIR programs while ensuring quality and compliance with DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Experience developing, reviewing, or managing technical manuals and related data
• Experience performing technical reviews and quality assurance on technical documentation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat or similar tools

Responsibilities

• Attend NAVSEA and related TMMP/MBPS/S1000D meetings and coordinate with stakeholders
• Provide logistics management, technical editing, and TMMP/MBPS support
• Prepare meeting minutes and distribute them to management
• Develop schedules, docs plans, and draft materials for TMMP/ATIS/MBPS implementations
• Define new TMMP processes and requirements for NAVSEA instruction updates
• Provide recommendations on TMMP process implementation and performance requirements
• Conduct reviews of ETMs, IETMs, SGML/XML data for compliance and quality
• Review SGML/XML data and draft standards for NAVSEA programs
• Develop ETM structures and assess TMMP/ATIS/MBPS production
• Process completed IETM/ETM structures for reproduction and distribution
• Support Navy Contenta data management and XML repository initiatives
• Prepare technical comments on SGML/XML/HTML/PDF production software
• Participate in process improvement affecting cost, schedule, and performance
• Identify changes to improve manual accuracy, usability, and TMMP support
• Assist in revisions to government documents and meeting minutes
