NavMPS Fleet Support Specialist (Shiprider)

Job summary

V2X, part of the Vectrus family, seeks NavMPS CSR - Shiprider personnel to deploy on U.S. Naval vessels for extended periods, including work-up cycles and deployments. Travel to NAS Lemoore, Whidbey Island, Oceana or Marlton NJ may be required when not deployed.

The role requires experience with DOD IT systems, 8570.01 certification, and 24/7/365 help desk support, plus the ability to lift 100 lbs. A technical AS/AA or equivalent, with strong training and installation skills, is essential.

Qualifications

• AS or AA in Computer Science, Information Systems or a Relevant Technical Discipline required.
• Military IT rating/MOS may substitute for degree.
• 4 years' experience supporting Defense IT systems acceptable in lieu of degree.
• DOD 8570.01 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between PMA-281 and Fleet NavMPS users as embedded staff.
• Provide NavMPS admin/data-base training for NavMPS users.
• Assist aircrew with mission planning using NavMPS programs.
• Maintain visibility with NavMPS users for rapid issue resolution.
• Install and configure NavMPS software on assets.
• Create and manage system admin/user accounts for NavMPS assets.
• Advise government on requirements, upgrades and procurement.
• Prepare documentation for installation, testing, and continuity of operations.
