Lockheed Martin's RMS team in Manassas is offering a Software Engineering Intern position for the Integrated Common Processor (ICP) program, providing a common system software suite for the US Navy. The role requires DoD Secret Clearance.

You will participate in full-lifecycle development, debugging, and system integration tasks, while collaborating with senior engineers in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software, computer, electrical engineering, or related STEM.
• Foundational knowledge of Java programming through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, basic command-line navigation, and debugging concepts.
• Basic understanding of software testing and debugging from academic work or projects.

Responsibilities

• Full-Lifecycle Development: Assist in writing and modifying clean, scalable code for Navy mission applications.
• Baseline Lifecycle Management: Help troubleshoot and debug issues to learn system architecture and improve reliability.
• System Integration & Testing: Write and execute unit tests and validation procedures for complex naval computing environments.
• Team Collaboration & Learning: Engage in design reviews and peer code evaluation with mentors.
