Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain; candidates with active clearance preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years for 1st Class, 5+ years for 2nd Class, 1 year for 3rd Class, none for Craftsman.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Navy A/C school or Journeyman training.
• Must pass drug screening and provide hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of maritime mechanical systems.
• Navy tag-out, WAF programs, and Naval procedures.
• Maintain QWI and related forms.
• Implement and monitor OSHA safety.
• Supervise junior personnel.
• Understand shipboard HM&E machinery and systems.
• Troubleshoot, disassemble, and inspect HM&E equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble, and test mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, instructions; make red-line drawings.
