Responsibilities

  • Drive performance by leading cross-functional collaboration to improve system performance and resolve issues.
  • Travel up to 50% to support mission execution at RTX facilities, test sites, vendor sites, and customer locations.
  • Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration and verification in simulated and real environments.
  • Identify and resolve hardware, software and system issues through data analysis and debugging.
  • Use modeling and simulation tools to predict system performance and support verification and validation.

The Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities team discipline is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to supportimportantNaval Radar programs. Every day presents a different set of challenges to overcome. Whether in hardware, software, networking, or some combination of all three, you’ll be stretched to learn about how our systems work and identify the sources of new and unexpected issues through lots of troubleshooting and data analysis. You’ll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and collaborate to implement solutions.

What You Will Do

In this Systems Engineer role, you will support the following types of activities:

  • Drive Performance: Lead a team to collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues. Responsible for schedule execution of assigned program elements.
  • Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 50%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
  • Testing: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.
  • Troubleshoot and Analyze:Identifyand resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
  • Modeling and Simulation:Utilizemodeling and simulation toolsto predict system performance and support verification and validation.
  • Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
  • Collaborate: Work withcustomersandmulti-disciplinaryinternalteamsto achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
  • Document and Communicate: Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verifyrequirementsand effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensureoptimalsystem performance and verify requirements.
  • Requirements Development: Decompose and track specifications throughout complex systems architectures

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum ofeight (8)years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience integrating military systems in one or more of the following; software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration,or systems test.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
