Job summary

Expleo seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join our naval architecture capability, focusing on Ships Lifting and Handling Systems, including Launch and Recovery Systems. The role is on-site in the North-West region of the UK for 6+ months, within a regulated environment and cross-disciplinary teams.

Required are a Mechanical/Marine Engineering degree, professional membership, and Chartered Engineer status or progression to that level.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant STEM discipline or equivalent naval experience.
• Professional membership in a relevant engineering institution.
• Chartered Engineer status or ability within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system requirements and specs.
• Define operating modes and performance requirements; coordinate interfaces.
• Review designs to ensure they meet requirements and standards.
• Support testing, commissioning and acceptance activities.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure safety, quality and delivery.
