Job summary

Arcfield in Middletown, RI seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support NUWC Code 34 EW Outboard as part of the engineering team. Responsibilities include mechanical design input, drawing development, and on-site / in-service support of AN/BLQ-10 systems.

The role requires DoD/defense experience, CAD proficiency (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), strong troubleshooting, and clear communication. Travel up to 10% and ability to obtain Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with mechanical systems sustainment, preferably in DoD/EW.
• Proficient with CAD tools and drawing standards.
• Ability to travel and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical design input for EW Outboard assemblies.
• Develop, review, and interpret mechanical drawings and data packs.
• Offer on-site technical assistance and field support.
• Perform root cause analysis and suggest corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
