Job summary

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is seeking a full time Electrical Elevator Support Technician II in Norfolk, VA.

This role will work closely with Ship’s Force, Government and contract personnel to provide electrical technical support for Naval Ships, including elevators and related equipment. You will assess and repair electrical systems on shipboard elevators, dumbwaiters and conveyors in shop and shipboard environments, supporting aircraft carrier elevator maintenance in Norfolk.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six plus years of direct experience working with the maintenance and troubleshooting of shipboard elevators, cargo elevators, and dumbwaiters.
• Ability to use drawings, prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to locate defective components and perform repairs.
• Knowledge of Navy tag-out, standard troubleshooting techniques, and Navy Quality assurance practices.
• Candidates without OSHA 10 certification will be required to obtain it within 10 days of hire.

• Provide electrical systems support for shipboard elevators and related equipment.
• Research drawings and engineering docs to recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with shipboard PMS accomplishment.
• Use precision measurement instruments.
• Assist with supply and repair parts information as required.
• Provide technical assistance for complex machinery control problems.
• Communicate the problem and solutions to ship's force representatives.
• Assist with process improvements and install equipment using tools.
• Brief ship's force and management on changes.
• Follow safety procedures.
