Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering or Ocean Engineering; 7+ years of shipbuilding/design experience.
• Experience conducting intact and damage stability and trim calculations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, ShipConstructor, Rhino3D, GHS, CargoMAX, AdobePro.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME support for hull, hydrodynamics, weights, and stability activities.
• Review specifications, drawings, and calculations for contract design.
• Develop technical resolutions to engineering problems for Navy ships.
• Provide HM&E assessments and advise on equipment and system design.
• Supervise and train junior SDM engineers.
