Job summary

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks a Biologist (Natural Resource Manager) to lead and oversee the comprehensive Natural Resources Program at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

You will guide integrated planning, habitat management, watershed restoration, species recovery, and environmental education, coordinating with federal, state, and local partners to advance conservation and mission readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the Natural Resources Program at the U.S. Air Force Academy, ensuring alignment with mission readiness and ecological stewardship.
• Develop and update the Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP) and integrate NR considerations into installation planning, operations, cadet education, and training activities.
• Oversee large-scale habitat management, watershed restoration, habitat conservation, and species recovery projects, including Preble's jumping mouse.
• Coordinate with USAFA leadership and staff and collaborate with Federal, State, local, and other partners to advance shared natural resource objectives.
