Job summary

PeopleLift is seeking a Data Center Cable Installer in Houston, TX. This role includes the installation of fiber optics and copper cables on designated routes in data centers. You'll work under a team leader to ensure high standards are maintained throughout the installation process.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cable installations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a team. Competitive hourly or salaried rates based on experience are available, alongside training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in the installation and termination of copper and fiber optic cables.
• Ability to handle cables and equipment manually.
• Basic knowledge of data center operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unbox and unpack cables.
• Scan cable barcodes using the provided client scanner.
• Label cables following the cable schedule.
• Pull and route cables according to designated paths.

Skills

Installation of copper and fiber optic cables

Familiarity with cable testing equipment (Fluke tester)

Manual handling of cables
