Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a National SVP to lead the Center for the Brain, a home-based executive role responsible for unifying the Brain Health and Stroke portfolio and accelerating science, policy and care improvements. You will drive partnerships, strategy and funding across science, systems, advocacy and engagement.

In this role you will provide enterprise-wide leadership for brain health and stroke innovation, engaging top leaders and staff, while guiding scalable programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant experience; fifteen years preferred.
• Minimum of eight years of supervisory experience; ten years preferred.
• Business acumen, change management, effective communication, planning and organizing, prioritization.
• Ability to travel up to 25% locally and overnight.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Center for the Brain and unify the enterprise-wide Brain Health and Stroke portfolio.
• Set strategy, partnerships, business models and initiatives to accelerate science and improve care.
• Direct portfolio development across science, healthcare systems, quality improvement, advocacy, engagement and partnerships.
• Act as executive leader for brain health and stroke innovation across organizational priorities.
