Job description

National Senior Project Manager

Spyder Management Dana Point, California, United States

About this position

Spyder Construction is a full-service general contractor specializing in large loss insurance restoration, structural repairs, capital improvement, and roofing projects for commercial and multi-family properties. We are committed to excellence and providing first-class service to every client on every project through clear communication, dedicated projected management, and the experience of our team.

Don't see a position matching your skills and background? Keep an eye out on this website for future openings, as we are constantly evaluating our needs!

Spyder Construction is looking for a National Senior Project Manager to take ownership of our most complex projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role can be based out of our Littleton, CO or Dana Point, CA office, with the expectation of travel to support projects across both markets. If you build your own systems, hold a high bar without needing anyone to hold it for you, and expect the work to speak for itself, this role is built for you.

What You Will Own
  • Full accountability for assigned projects from pre-construction through closeout, delivered on time and on budget.
  • Master schedules and 3-week look aheads, built and maintained in close coordination with Superintendents and Foremen.
  • Financial performance across your projects, including budgeting, subcontractor buyout, projections, and margin protection.
  • Client and stakeholder communication, serving as the primary point of contact and running OAC meetings with clear, consistent updates.
  • Mentorship and direction for Project Managers and field staff, with clearly defined roles and standards.
  • Pre-construction activities including RFIs, submittals, customer selections, subcontractor vetting, and subcontract execution.
  • Project documentation, maintained fully within Spyder's SOPs for files, folders, and forms.
  • Project walks at every key milestone, verifying quality and compliance before moving forward.
  • Procurement coordination for materials, permits, and subcontractor resources.
  • OSHA, environmental, and safety compliance, enforced through regular site inspections.
What You Bring

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • 5 to 9 years of experience, ideally in restoration, insurance claim, or emergency response projects (fire, flood, mold, storm).
  • Demonstrated financial acumen in project budgeting, buyout, projections, and margin management.
  • Willingness to travel and work across both Colorado and California operations as needed.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Proven track record leading Project Managers and field staff through complex, multi-site work.
  • A system for tracking documentation, schedules, and financials that doesn't depend on memory.

This role is built for someone who prefers a defined process and wants the authority to run it. If you need frequent check-ins to stay on track, or you're looking for a role built around constant collaboration and group problem-solving, this likely isn't the right fit. If you'd rather build the system once and execute it precisely every time, keep reading.

The Work Itself

This is a hybrid office and field role. You'll be on-site for project walks, inspections, and milestone meetings, and in the office for planning, financial review, and documentation. Regular travel between job sites is required, along with the ability to travel between Colorado and California as project needs dictate. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions.

Why Spyder

Spyder was built on the idea that consistency beats brilliance that only shows up sometimes. As National Senior Project Manager, you're the one who makes sure that standard holds across every project, every market, every time. We don't need you to check in constantly. We need you to own your projects completely and deliver the same result whether it's your first week or your fiftieth project. You'll build real relationships with clients and teams, not because it's required, but because your reliability earns it. And when something needs to be rebuilt, refined, or done better, you'll be the one pushing for it.
