Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks an Operations Research Analyst to apply modeling, data analysis, and OR methods to inform decision-making on logistics posture, munitions, and resupply options. You will shape software and analysis architectures while collaborating to strengthen system performance and operational effectiveness.

Located onsite at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, the role requires 2+ years of experience, a relevant BA/BS, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in operations research, mathematics, industrial engineering, or related field
• At least 2 years applying scientific methods to analyze systems
• Fundamental knowledge of applying scientific methods to systems and software
• Experience with analytical or statistical languages/tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, SAS, VBA, Java, SimPy, Simio, Gurobi, JMP)
• Basic experience developing analytical models using Python, R, or C++
• Ability to analyze problems and propose effective solutions
• Ability to quickly learn missions, systems, and problem domains
• Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Apply operations research, mathematics and analytical techniques to support project objectives
• Clarify analytical goals with project leads and align plans with management priorities
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform decision-making
• Contribute to studies that evaluate, improve, and validate decision-analytic models and simulations
• Document analyses using models, simulations, visualizations or decision-support tools
• Prepare concise briefings, technical papers, and summary reports
