The Recruiting Hive seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Defense, National Security & Government Contracts Practice Group in Washington, DC. The hybrid role focuses on government contracts matters, bid protests, and internal investigations, delivering strategic guidance to sophisticated clients.

You must have a JD from a top-tier law school and active DC Bar status, with 5–8 years of substantive Government Contracts experience.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active DC Bar in good standing (or eligible).
• 5-8 years of substantive Government Contracts experience.
• Experience with bid protests, Contract Disputes Act, and federal procurement issues.
• Strong knowledge of FAR and related procurement regulations.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on government contracts and federal procurement matters.
• Handle bid protests, Contract Disputes Act claims, and related disputes.
• Counsel clients on FAR compliance and procurement regulations.
• Conduct and support internal investigations involving government contracting issues.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and related legal documents.
• Provide strategic regulatory, compliance, and risk management guidance.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on complex matters.
