Job description

General Management | Strategy, Innovation & Execution | Team Design & Leadership | Talent Management & Acquisition | ex-LEGO

Are you a driven, caring, experienced preK-12 sales professional looking to lead sales and account management for a growing, mission-driven organization?

For over 20 years, MindWorks Resources has created hands‑on, standards‑aligned educational kits that inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in PreK–8 students. They seek a National Sales Executive to expand their reach across the US, particularly on the West Coast. This position blends inside and outside sales, engaging directly with school districts, after‑school programs, and youth‑serving organizations to introduce MindWorks’ hands‑on, standards‑aligned learning kits. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the K–12 education landscape, builds relationships with authenticity, and thrives in a consultative sales environment.

This is more than a sales role; it’s a chance to help shape how students across the country experience learning. You’ll be part of a small, mission‑driven team that values creativity, authenticity, and genuine partnerships with educators.

Major Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a territory plan to meet sales goals primarily across the western region.
  • Build long‑term relationships with decision‑makers in school districts, educational cooperatives, and afterschool organizations.
  • Conduct virtual and in‑person presentations, demonstrations, and trainings to showcase MindWorks’ products.
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through closing, including proposals, pricing, and follow‑up.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Marketing, Product Development, and Operations) to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Attend regional and national education conferences and trade shows to represent the brand.
  • Maintain accurate activity records and pipeline data in the company CRM.
  • Stay informed about K–12 trends, funding sources, and district purchasing cycles to anticipate customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated sales experience in the PreK–12 education market, and a track record of selling to districts, schools, or youth organizations.
  • Proven success in consultative, relationship‑based sales.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Lives in and experience with the Western U.S. and West Coast education market with the ability to travel (trade shows, district meetings, site visits).
  • Self‑starter who thrives working independently while staying connected to a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency with CRM, sales enablement, and virtual meeting tools.
  • Passion for education and improving learning experiences for students.

MindWorks Resources designs and produces hands‑on, standards‑aligned educational kits that spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in PreK through middle school students. Their kits are trusted nationwide by school districts, afterschool programs, and youth organizations such as YMCAs and Boys & Girls Clubs.

For more than two decades, MindWorks has partnered with organizations that share their belief that learning should be active, engaging, and fun. They proudly serve many of the underserved communities across the country, helping them expand opportunities for students through meaningful academic enrichment and out‑of‑school programming.
