Qualifications

• Education must be accredited by a DOE-recognized institution.
• Experience leading national healthcare programs and policy initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate across VA divisions and with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for optometry programs, policies, and initiatives across VHA.
• Develop short- and long-term goals and plans aligned with VA missions.
• Collaborate with Ophthalmology and the Vision Center of Excellence to coordinate eye care.
• Work with Network and Medical Center Directors to ensure accessible, high-quality care.
