Job summary

The Advocates - PNW in Seattle is seeking an experienced National Litigation Paralegal to support a national team handling large, complex cases across the country. You will work closely with the Managing Attorney and help advance cases from filing through verdict.

Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years of litigation paralegal experience, 3+ years in personal injury, and a track record of trial support. Hybrid schedule with Seattle office days and travel for trials.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
• 3+ years of personal injury experience.
• Experience supporting at least one case through trial.
• Ability to learn new state and federal procedural rules quickly and work independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and file them in state and federal courts, including through PACER/CM-ECF.
• Learn and track the civil procedure, local rules, and deadlines of each new jurisdiction we litigate in.
• Lead trial preparation: exhibit and witness lists, trial notebooks, evidence, and briefs and appendices.
• Support the trial team in the courtroom, in Washington and nationally.
• Help draft and respond to interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and other discovery.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, and keep case files organized and current.
• Calendar hearings and deadlines, schedule depositions, and coordinate with witnesses and experts.
• Gather and analyze information from a variety of sources to help build each case.
• Serve as a main point of contact for clients: provide case updates, support case and care management, and guide them through discovery and depositions.
