Responsibilities include providing legal guidance to leadership, researching issues, and formulating litigation strategies within title 32 contexts. The role demands ability to draft memoranda, reports, and opinions, and to handle complex regulatory questions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data accurately.
• Knowledge of military laws, directives, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to enunciate English clearly without impediment.
• Strong interpersonal communication, empathy, and listening skills.
• Ability to write clear reports and presentations in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize thoughts, research materials, and manage case projects.
• Experience interpreting and applying DoD and National Guard regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal interpretation and guidance to managers and senior leaders on federal and state law.
• Develop litigation strategies and coordinate with litigation teams.
• Research and draft legal memoranda, opinions, and briefings.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and formulating legal strategies for complex cases.
• Address complex constitutional, jurisdictional, and regulatory issues frequently arising in Title 32 National Guard matters.
