Job summary

AE2S seeks a Drinking Water Treatment Practice Leader to guide our national practice across multiple states from Des Moines, IA. You will set strategy, advance technical excellence, and drive growth in the drinking water sector, shaping projects and client relationships.

As a recognized leader, you will mentor engineers, expand capabilities, partner with regional leaders, and ensure high-quality delivery of drinking water solutions while advancing innovative standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years in drinking water or water treatment engineering.
• 2+ years in leadership roles (team, project, or practice).
• Proven ability to win and retain client relationships.
• Willingness to travel for conferences, pursuits, and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, technical direction, and growth of AE2S’ Drinking Water Treatment Practice.
• Set the national vision and grow teams across regions.
• Elevate project quality and introduce innovative drinking water solutions.
• Develop client relationships and support major pursuits.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders across offices.
