Job summary

Thompson Hospitality Services seeks a Corporate Chef to lead culinary standards across multiple locations, mentori ng teams, and design menu cycles for diverse client accounts. This hands-on leader will travel extensively to open new accounts and support renovations while ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, a background in multi-unit operations, and proficiency with purchasing programs and menu tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Culinary Arts from a recognized institution (CIA, Johnson & Wales, or equivalent) or equivalent industry experience.
• At least five years of progressive leadership in food production or culinary management.
• Experience managing multi-unit culinary operations preferred.
• ServSafe certification required; CEC designation preferred.
• Strong understanding of purchasing programs, cost control, and compliance standards.
• Ability to travel extensively—up to 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation for new Chefs, ensuring a strong understanding of culinary standards and company food programs.
• Partner with clients to design and implement menu cycles tailored to their needs.
• Play an active role in opening new accounts and supporting renovation projects within the territory.
• Provide strategic culinary leadership and guidance to chefs across multiple locations nationwide.
• Recruit and assess culinary talent by interviewing and conducting demonstrations.
• Coach, train, and mentor culinary teams to foster creativity and high performance.
• Collaborate with Corporate Executive Chef and Regional Operations leadership to ensure alignment.
• Uphold regulatory compliance and food safety best practices.
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and commitment to quality service.
