Core & Main is seeking an experienced National Accounts Manager to own the PVF, Plumbing and Waterworks territory nationwide. You will promote product lines, train distributors, and drive specification positions while delivering a strong base salary plus commissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years outside sales in PVF, Plumbing or water distribution.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
• Ability to travel about 50% (3–4 days/week with one in-office day).
• Ability to cover a large geographical territory.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 40 lbs during demonstrations.

• Provide quotations, product training, and support for distributors.

Job Summary

This exempt-level sales position has National territory sales responsibility Calling on Nationwide or Large Distributors in the PVF, Plumbing and Waterworks Industry. The National Accounts Manager is provided the opportunity to learn or expand upon their knowledge of the PVF, Plumbing and water distribution industry and sales knowledge/strategies, all while earning a competitive base salary plus commissions! Company vehicle and full benefit offerings make for a well-rounded total package for the right individual. Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Call on PVF, Plumbing and Waterworks distributors to promote new and existing product lines and develop favorable specification position.
• Provide complete service to established distributor network including: quotations, product training, technical and literary support, product complaint, inventory maintenance, and delivery issues.
• Perform product training for distributors to promote advantages of offered products and enhance specification position
• Establish sales goals and specification objectives to meet company sales budget.
• Identify significant bid opportunities and provide complete project information, including price strategy.
• Provide after sale service support, including warranty and claims management.
• Actively participate in trade organizations to promote offered products
• Provide leadership with monthly sales forecast and market overview.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of five (5) years outside sales experience in the PVF, Plumbing or water distribution industry or related field (construction, piping, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license with nomajorviolations.
• Ability to routinely travel 50% of work schedule (estimated 3-4 days/week of travel with one office day).
• Ability to cover large geographical sales territory.
• Intermediate computer experience with particular proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint programs.
• High level of outgoing interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 40 lbs. to maneuver products during demonstrations.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business, engineering,orcommunications-relatedfield.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Compensation: $90-110k base plus commission
