Position Overview

The Employee Benefits National Account Manager is responsible for proactive customer management, education, development, profitable growth, and retention of assigned National Account clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver marketing and enrollment strategies aligned with client needs and Voya’s capabilities.
  • Lead meetings and create strategic content for clients and stakeholders.
  • Build strong partnerships with clients, acting as an extension of their team.
  • Analyze claims trends and communicate insights to employers and brokers.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to resolve issues and implement best practices.
  • Support the development of the national account service model and value proposition.
  • Advise brokers and clients on plan updates and best practices.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for service model initiatives.
  • Participate actively in renewal negotiations and client meetings.
  • Mentor colleagues and foster team development.
  • Identify opportunities for new business and increased participation.
  • Demonstrate Voya’s value through effective storytelling and client engagement.
  • Execute business strategies aligned with organizational goals and client needs.
  • Maintain active engagement with brokers and market partners to stay informed on trends.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Experience in Employee Benefits, National Accounts, or similar client management roles.
  • Strong strategic, consultative, and proactive approach.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills across all levels.
  • Ability to influence and persuade within the market.
  • Strategic thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence and enthusiasm in internal and external interactions.
  • Ability to develop and articulate Voya’s value proposition.
Location & Travel

This position requires candidates to be located in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, DC, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, or Chicago. Extensive travel within the territory is expected.

Compensation

The annual base salary range is $111,150 - $165,110 USD, with additional incentive opportunities based on performance. Actual offers will vary based on location, experience, and other factors.
