Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst based in Phoenix, AZ to support financial operations for a large national account. You will analyze budgets, forecasts, and vendor costs while coordinating with branch and site teams to drive cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include budgeting, variance analysis, dashboards, month-end close, and executive summaries. The role requires 1–4 years of relevant experience and strong Excel skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Admin, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, procurement, vendor management, or business operations.
• Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and financial data analysis.
• Ability to analyze budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and vendor pricing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recurring financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses for the national account.
• Analyze revenue, labor, operating expenses, vendor costs, purchasing activity, and other key metrics.
• Consolidate financial information across multiple branches, sites, and service lines.
• Investigate variances and provide explanations to leadership.
• Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to support decisions.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecast updates.
• Track cost-saving, productivity, and margin-improvement initiatives.
• Support month-end close activities including accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries.
• Maintain data and improve reporting processes, tools, and controls.
