Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Operating Room team. You will accompany surgeons as the right hand, ensuring instruments and supplies are ready before requests are made, and you will uphold meticulous sterile technique to protect patient safety during every step of the procedure.

You will position and drape patients with care, maintain 100% accuracy in counts, and collaborate with the team to create a safe, efficient operative

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the NBSTSA obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Responsabilités

• Act as the right hand to surgeons by anticipating every move and ensuring the exact instrument or supply is ready before it's requested.
• Maintain a sterile field with accurate instrument and sponge counts to ensure patient safety from incision to closure.
• Position and drape patients with focus on safety, dignity and clinical excellence throughout procedures.

Formation

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree

4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
