Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• 2+ years of driving experience.
• Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Current DOT Health Certification.
• Ability to travel extensively and work a flexible schedule.
• Experience following DOT guidelines and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean, organize, restock, load and unload the hauler.
• Drive company vehicle per DOT guidelines transporting company property.
• Check vehicle safety equipment and emergency gear before trips.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
• Safely secure cargo for transport.
• Provide support to the shop as needed.
• Maintain driver logs and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Handle transporter emergencies (flat tires, breakdowns, etc.).
• Report accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle damage to Supervisor promptly.
• Collaborate with other drivers as part of a driving team on some trips.
• Manage petty cash and travel receipts for work trips.
• Ensure transporter complies with DOT standards and regulations.
