Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer, SME to advance the NAS via the FAA’s FENS program. You will drive complex network infrastructure and software initiatives, integrating the new FENS infrastructure with the existing network at on-site locations in Herndon, VA or Bowie, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or equivalent combinations.
• Experience integrating LAN/WAN routing (BGP, OSPF) and SD-WAN with security architectures.
• Experience designing cutovers and migrations with zero downtime.
• Experience onboarding network management tools and maintaining asset visibility.
• Experience enforcing zero-trust perimeter defenses and NGFW/SASE components.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, and testing of NAS-supporting systems.
• Provide technical directions and own assigned tasks and projects.
• Design networks from requirements and communicate standards to teams.
• Define dashboards and KPIs to verify reliability and resilience.
• Provide status updates, dashboards, and briefings to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies during deployments.
