Job summary

Abbott-Label in Itasca, IL is hiring for a 1st Shift Press Helper. The role supports Flexo presses by staging materials, assisting with make-ready, and helping with quality control in the pressroom.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing/warehouse, and exposure to narrow web printing. On-the-job training is provided; you will work 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years manufacturing/warehouse experience required.
• Experience in narrow web printing industry preferred.
• Vocational/technical training preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staging raw material, ink, and tooling to each Flexo Press.
• Assist press operator to ensure make ready process is efficient.
• Interact with shipping and receiving for inventory control.
• Maintain production tooling inventory: dies, perfs, mags, print cylinders, anilox.
• Maintain pressroom cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with finishing needs as directed by supervisor.
• Mix ink and coordinate with ink vendors/training for proper management.
• Coordinate with maintenance to ensure components work properly.
