Job summary

Sittercity.com is looking for a nanny in Owensboro, KY to care for three children aged 2.5, 4 and 7. The ideal candidate has special needs experience, a personal car, and is comfortable with small dogs and a calm household.

Availability is weekdays and weekends, with shifts starting October 15 and becoming more relaxed in mid‑November. Duties include supervising activities, preparing meals, light housekeeping and laundry, driving the kids, and assisting with bedtime.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children with special needs is preferred.
• Must be comfortable with pets and have access to own car for transportation.
• A car is required for commuting and activities with the children.

Responsibilities

• Drive the kids to activities, appointments, and errands.
• Prepare snacks and meals for the children.
• Light housekeeping and child-focused laundry.
• Assist with bedtime routines.
• Provide sick care when children are unwell.
• Support daytime routines and daycare drop-offs/pick-ups.
• Potential nanny share arrangements may be involved.

I have 3 kids ages: 2.5, 4, 7. The ideal nanny has special needs experience but not mandatory, a car, and is comfortable with pets(3lbs yorkipoo and 25lb(bernidoo) just to tak them out to pee. Duties include supervising activities, preparing meals, for first month, i work nights so need someone at home to watch them and get ready for school . The schedule starts on October 15th but is flexible. Availability is needed during weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends(for 5 days a week) then the schedule is more relaxed starting in mid Nov. pay $29/hr. My youngest have VERY mild cerebral palsy limited to just his ankles and a chromosome 16 duplication. Most people would not know if I didn't mention this so please don't shy away b/c of that. He just has several therapies per week but they mostly go to his daycare. Help during the day would be $29/hr, overnight stays would be less as it would just be keeping them safe while they slept.
