Job summary

Breckenridge Grand Vacations is seeking a Colorado-licensed Nail Technician for Infinity Spa at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8. This role offers a base pay of $16.00 per hour plus commissions and 100% of tips, with opportunities to upsell services and retail.

You will perform manicures, pedicures, and gel treatments, deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain spa cleanliness, and participate in ongoing training within a supportive, smile-driven team environment in Summit County.

Qualifications

• Colorado license as manicurist or cosmétologist (DORA).
• Certificate of completion in manicuring from an accredited school.
• Experience with natural and gel manicures/pedicures preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety for nail services.
• Clear English communication and guest interaction skills.
• Basic computer skills (email, timekeeping).
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive hand movements; lift 10–25 lbs occasionally.

Location: Infinity Spa at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Non-Exempt

Compensation: $16.00 /hr. + Commission + Gratuity

We offer a transparent pay structure: $16/hr. guaranteed base, competitive commissions (average ~$30 per service across our full menu), and 100% of your tips.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality natural and gel manicures/pedicures following spa protocols.
• Conduct thorough consultations to assess guest needs and preferences.
• Recommend and upsell additional services, retail products, or promotions with genuine expertise.
• Sanitize tools and workstations after each guest according to health/safety standards.
• Restock supplies and ensure the assigned workspace is clean, organized, and fully equipped.
• Bag and dispose of used linens/trash in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping records and respond to emails/requests promptly.
• Attend training sessions, staff meetings, and stay updated on spa offerings.
• Support team members with spa cleanliness (e.g., locker room inspections, linen transport).
• Deliver exceptional guest service, resolving concerns with empathy and efficiency.
• Uphold spa appearance standards (uniform, name badge, grooming).
• Foster a positive team environment through open communication and feedback.
• Assist with sustainability initiatives (recycling, resource conservation).
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support spa operations.

Requirements

• Active Colorado Manicurist or Cosmetologist License (issued by DORA).
• Certificate of Completion in Manicuring from an accredited U.S. cosmetology school.
• Proficiency in natural and gel manicures/pedicures.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety protocols for nail services.
• Ability to conduct consultations and recommend treatments.
• Strong communication skills (English fluency required).
• Basic computer skills (email, timekeeping systems).
• Capable of repetitive hand movements and sitting for extended periods. Ability to lift 10–25 lbs. occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ months in an upscale spa or salon environment.
• Experience with retail sales and upselling services/products.
• Proven ability to handle guest concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
• Familiarity with luxury nail care brands (e.g., OPI, Essie, CND).
• Training in advanced nail techniques (e.g., nail art, paraffin treatments).
• Interest in eco-friendly practices (recycling, sustainable products).
