Job summary

Amentum in Wahiawa, HI seeks a highly qualified N3 Cyber Operations Analyst to support FCC PAC, JFHQ-C, and other partners. The role focuses on Defensive Cyberspace Operations planning, analysis of cyber threats, and coordination across agencies to meet mission objectives.

The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, a bachelor's (master's preferred) in cyber-related fields, and at least 10 years of relevant military/government experience. Travel up to 10% may be required.

  • 10 years of military/government experience supporting a cyber or cryptologic mission.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze cyber threat intelligence including malware, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
  • Fuse intelligence from OSINT, SIGINT, HUMINT, and TECHINT to improve situational awareness.
  • Assess threat impact on networks and work with defense teams to implement mitigations.
  • Support cyber incident response with IOC analysis and attribution of adversary TTPs.
  • Prepare intelligence products and briefings for leadership and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance threat awareness.
  • Stay current on threats, technologies, and develop new analytical techniques.
  • Conduct target system analysis to support offensive cyberspace operations.
  • Manage collection efforts to resolve intelligence gaps.
  • Develop targets for vetted COCOM level mission packages.
  • Maintain mission profile documentation for offensive operations.
  • Perform Mission Analysis and support battlespace intelligence prep.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.

Job description

Amentum has an opportunity for a highly qualified N3 Cyber Operations Analyst in support of Cyber Squadron One located at Wahiawa, HI. The Cyber Operations Planner will support U.S. Fleet Cyber Command Pacific (FCC PAC), Joint Force Headquarters – Cyber (JFHQ-C) (Navy) Forward (FWD), and JFHQ-C (Navy) FWD by providing provide expertise in Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) planning to meet mission objectives. Planning activities include those activities required to support the execution of deliberate and dynamic mission requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of cyber threat intelligence, including emerging malware, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
  • Collect, evaluate, and fuse intelligence from diverse sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), and technical intelligence (TECHINT). Identify correlations and patterns to enhance situational awareness and predictive analysis.
  • Assess the potential impact of cyber threats on network infrastructure and operations. Collaborate with cyber defense teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies and countermeasures.
  • Provide intelligence support during cyber incident response activities, including analysis of indicators of compromise (IOCs), attribution of cyber-attacks, and identification of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Prepare and deliver clear and concise intelligence products, including reports, briefings, and presentations, for a diverse audience, including senior leadership, operational stakeholders, and technical teams.
  • Foster collaboration and information sharing with internal and external stakeholders, including other intelligence agencies, law enforcement, industry partners, and allied nations, to enhance cyber threat awareness and response capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, technologies, and methodologies through continuous research and professional development. Contribute to the development of new analytical techniques, tools, and processes to improve intelligence analysis and cyber defense capabilities.
  • Conduct target system analysis to support entity of interest for offensive cyberspace operations, coordinate for intelligence production and analysis to support advance technical development for offensive operations.
  • Execute collection management drawing subordinate unit intelligence requirements and overseeing their progress through the various means of collection to resolve intelligence gaps.
  • Develop Targets through Advanced Target development to achieve vetted and validated COCOM level targets for mission package execution.
  • Maintain various mission profile intelligence documentation requirements to support execution offensive cyberspace operations.
  • Conduct Mission Analysis process and know and be able to support intelligence preparation of the battlespace to support operational planning and entity of interest development for further technical analysis.
  • This position may require up to 10% travel.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, Information systems, Information Technology, or other related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • An active Top Secret/SCI with CI poly is required. Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Any combination of 10 years of military and/or government professional experience supporting a cyber or cryptologic mission.
  • Professional experience may include mission support as a military service member, federal government employee or contractor in support to U.S. Cyber Command, a U.S. Cyber Command subordinate entity, Service Cyber Component or subordinate entity, or the National Security Agency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in cyber security, Information systems, Information Technology, or other related discipline.
  • Experience in technical writing and editing, as well as cyber incident management, is preferred.
  • Experience in the U.S. Indo-Pacific theater of operations supporting offensive or defensive cyber operations.
Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $155K - $165K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
