The successful candidate will sustain a robust voice studio, participate in juries and auditions, and contribute to a vibrant program that blends classical training with contemporary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; significant documented teaching and/or performing experience can substitute for earned degrees.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of university-level teaching experience.
  • Functional piano skills to support a voice lesson.
  • Experience in repertoire ranging from pre-Golden Age to contemporary pop/rock styles.
  • Knowledge of IPA, CCM, crossover repertoire, amplified singing and vocal health of interest.
  • Documented success in collegiate teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach weekly private lessons to undergraduate Musical Theatre majors and other students on degree tracks within the Theatre Conservatory that include voice.
  • Actively recruit potential students.
  • Sustain a successful studio through effective, and healthy pedagogy.
  • Participate in program activities including adjudication of juries and program auditions.
